Nikki smiled; Xue had a helluva nice car. The girl was an heiress, so it did make enough sense; Nikki might have been the son... err... daughter of a colonel, but the dryad didn't exactly have that kind of money herself. So Nikki got in the car along with Xue, and waited to head out.

Xue waited a bit for everyone to pile in. Even that stranger that walked up before if she wanted to. Buuut time was wasting! Time to roll! After everyone was situated, Xue rolled on to the next objective!

The group soon arrives at the destination. It's, well...it's, well...from outside, it looks more like a motel then a hotel. Single story, with a lot of rooms that you can just drive up to. At least, in theory. The feeling of being a motel is rather damaged by the extremely large wall around the area, with a large gate manned by a security guard. He waves the car through, however, upon glimpsing Alexis.
When they get to a parking space, they can see some kids lounging about nearby, whistling at the car. An older woman walks out, wearing thick mittens and a bright smile, and a turtleneck sweater. She smiles, and opens the door. "Just visiting, I take it?"
She does, however, frown at Xue, but doesn't say anything.

Alexis inclines her head briefly to the older woman. "More of an impromptu meeting with one of your residents, otherwise I would have given you more notice. I assure you, my clients won't do anything to affect your prestige. And with that, we are looking for one of your guests..." the gorgon pauses to check her phone, "... Jennifer Summers. Is she in right now?"

Haters gonna hate. Xue pays no mind of the older woman, letting the others talk for the moment. For her part, the ninja is currently debating whether or not she should get another stick of gum. To chew - or not to chew. Chewing may upset the old lady. Plus. Though if she has to swim she'll have to spit it out. Minus. It is gum. Plus. Alright, so she unwraps the gum, taking her time in it as the question is poised and popping it in her mouth.

The woman nods, and gestures. "Just head around through the entrance to the pool. I'd direct you a bit more, but she's not in her room right now. Shouldn't be too hard to find her, though."
She walks in, and heads inside, apparently unlocking the entrance to the pool. Loootta security on this place.

For the moment, Nikki let the others speak for her. It seemed that nobody had to play any cards for a quick visit, though she noted that there was a lot of security.
"So, there's a lot of security around here." Nikki explained. Well, it'd at least be enough to keep a certain lunatic at bay... hopefully. If TV news and the internet had taught Nikki anything, it was that there were few things that a lunatic with a cause could not overcome.

Chew. Chew. Chew. Blow. Pop. "Seems so." Xue follows along to the pool entrance. Could be a fun place to break into. Eh. She looks to the others, making sure they are about ready before going into the next pool room.

"Well, we're inside," Alexis comments sharply as they proceed. "Funny story, really. I was interning with Red Skies when my senior associate, Dan Theamann, was put on a case for this hotel. There was a legal dispute between the owners and a certain development firm, who was trying to push the property to public on grounds that our clients were illegal aliens." Alexis stops to hold a door for the girls as they make their way. "I wasn't a major factor in the case, just another legal gopher. But you could say I have a face that's easy to remember."

And, when they enter...everything makes a good bit more sense. The pool is HUGE, twice the size of the hotel, and deep enough that they probably require permits to not interfere with the sewers. Everyone is happy, smiling, and goofing off at the pool. Parents are teaching their kids how to swim. Older women are sitting there relaxing. Couples are lounging by the pool. Everyone is happy, and having a good time.
And not a single one of them are human. Every single person has gills on their neck, allowing them to breathe underwater. The parents helping their kids learn how to swim...have webs on their fingers, and long, fish-like feet. The old couple lounging by the pool? They are bald, with gigantic fins down their backs.
As they all watch, a figure crests out of the water, recognizable as Jennifer Summers, dressed in a simple two-piece bathing suit, stretching her neck to let her gills breathe, as water shoots out of the holds in her back. "Oh yeah! I won! Whose the boss, whose the boss." *She does a happy dance as she steps out, showcasing her long, webless fingers, and her perfect toes. She's almost completely human, only her gills and the exhaust holes on her back betraying her inhuman heritage.
Her opponent sighs, a young teenager...with scales across his face and bare chest, webs on his fingers, and protruding, fishy lips. He blinks sideways, and shakes his head. "Yeah, you won. Good job. No need to rub it in." His eyes betray he's taking it a bit harder then he seems, and as he talks, he shows off very, very sharp teeth.
Jennifer steps out, continuing her happy dance, stepping on a wet spot and ignoring it as she does a nice spin...and turns around to see the party. "Um...you're...new...and...not...ones...of...us..."
She makes a quiet meep.

Yep. Magic. Figures. Or... maybe not magic. But magic. Yeah. We'll just go with magic. Magic swimmy people. With magic gills. And magic fins. And apparently extra holes. Like a dolphin? "Illegal aliens. Eh, there are worse law suites to be thrown at you." She says and looks to Alexis. "Well then. Time for the talk thing." She says Chew. Wait no. Stop chewing. "Yeah. We're looking for Jennifer Summers. Its for the Meta Club."

Well, that answered her question: they didn't want people to know that most people here were Lemurians, if she had it right. Nikki nodded when Xue said it "We're not exactly normal ourselves. She's a cyberninja, I'm a dryad, and she's a lawyer."
Nikki chuckled "Sorry, I meant she's a gorgon. Like Xue said, we're just here to see if we could talk to you about the Metaclub." Nikki could tell that Jen was obviously upset, so she did what she could to calm her, taking a very friendly tone. Hopefully, the emotional effects of what she was saying would be as solid as the facts.

At the half-hearted question of "illegal aliens," Alexis shakes her head very slightly, arms crossed in a dismissive pose. She hangs back as Nikki approaches Jennifer and lets her eyes pass over the full interior, taking in the renovations that have been done since her last visit.

Jennifer seems to have calmed down, though she doesn't seem to be distracted by Nikki's beauty. She sighs. "Let me guess? You all want to recruit me for the club. I'm...well, I'm a bit hesitant. There's kinda a big issue."
She bites her lip. "I'm on the swim team. If..." She gestures to everything going around. "This gets out? I can scratch any hope of competing ever again. My high school would get investigated. Plus...other issues. Like that Legal case. Just because some of us were born past the coastline...we get accused of not being citizens. Hell, my mom is a baseline!"

"Problem is, now that people are getting wind of the situation, the nature of the complication won't be too hard to find out. You can get ahead of the issue. If it can be proven that your abilities don't give you an edge over non-specials? Sure whatever. But otherwise, your matches might get a bit more even. As for born past the coastline, I don't know. The U.S. is pretty quick to claim offshore oil as its property. We do have lawyers. Pushing that any sovereign territory - land, sea, or air, of the country could make that individual a citizen. But if you don't get ahead of it, it gets ahold of you, you're to blame, all of... this.. is found out. It'd turn out bad. Take it as a... push.. for meta-clubs. To expand new territories and challenges and step out in front of the challenges that are coming, rather than getting hit by them when they get full speed."
