Glenn decided that since shi was more of an... upfront person, shi would volunteer to help the efforts dealing with Adrian directly. Shi knew that shi could not just run in like a headless chicken, thus shi waited to see who was gonna join, and who shi could figure something out with.
Nikki nodded "Okay, so here's the deal. We have a little profile on him."
Nikki looked towards Dima and Glenn, blushing a bit "Yeah, I... feel dirty for asking this. But does anyone know a slur for demon? I mean, one that those wierdos would use? I'd hate to use them, but I bet he'd be more likely to buy it if we did."
Nikki sighed "I'll have to apologize to Chii afterwards, I guess." Probably would make her feel better, if nothing else.
Glenn...um...wasn't DEMONS originally a racial slur? A few...million...years ago? Kinda been reclaimed, though. Maybe, um...Dirty Red? Glenn coulda sworn shi heard that SOMEWHERE...about SOMETHING.
Dima looks up. "Maybe we could do something about the Balor Cultist thing? I mean, a dark ritual to summon an ancient Demon serial killer is right up his ally. Or, just claim that Moloch is kidnapping children. Or Baal is having an orgy, or something..."
Glenn, after a few moments of deep concentration, raises hir finger "I think we might get on his plate by calling him Dirty Red. Or atleast try it...But wouldn't it make him much more angry if we were to destroy or steal his camera ? I feel bad planning out these mischeavous acts, but I am doing this in service of the college. That is excusable, right ?" Shi wonders, turning to the two.
Nikki chuckled, considering Dima's solution was something funny, even if effective. She nodded though "Smashing his camera would be fun, but it'd be too obvious."
Nikki smiled "Could work. Now, this guy probably knows jack squat about actual psychic stuff. So..."
Nikki looked at Dima "You're the only person here I'm 100% sure he never heard the voice of this morning. I chewed him out earlier for how he was treating a certain heiress, so he'd probably remember my voice. Think you could talk him into it?"
Nikki nodded "Now, we just have to figure out the specifics."
Dima ponders. "....I'd really rather not do the whole 'be the person who does the distraction'...I mean, I COULD, but it's a bit more then I have planned. Maybe...if you made it worth my while? But, I kinda wanna see how you guys handle it, first. Still, you DID give me some advice on how to do it..."
(Okay, if you want an NPC to handle an event/part of an event, you're gonna have to convince them. Either via Roleplay, or Rollplay.)
Glenn begins to ponder, hir head turning to Dima "Made it worthwhile ? Isn't the levitating feeling of doing the place you belong to a great service. Maybe we are unaware of the scale of events we might kick lose from here. We might not be his only victims, and if he makes a breakthrough, maybe more people will fall to his everconsuming fire for fame." The Seraph says, watching Dima's reactions in an attempt to read them and find... a way to talk into her conscience. (Perception Roll. xkhQG2Bf +2 Perception Aspect Bonus)···
Dima ponders. "The feeling of making this world a better place...the feeling of having helped the innocent, of doing what is right, not what is easy. The feeling of having people rely upon you. The feeling of having aided your friends, and raising them up. That feeling...to feel that..." A look of bliss comes over her face. "Would fill me with utter joy."
Then her face falls to blankness and she pulls out her handheld gaming console. "Luckily, I got this for feeling that. Let's see...I think Story Mode in the sims would do..."
Well, at least her response makes her personality clear...she's a Gothy Gamer Girl. And she has a personality issue. I do what I will. On the plus side: She's good at BSing.
(Assessment successful. She's a Gothy Gamer Girl. Butshe firmly believes I do what I will. She won't be conned into doing something she doesn't want...or, so she thinks.)
Cynical, free spirited. It was settled. This was the kind of girl who'd do something 'for the look on their face'.
"So, do you think this is the kind of person who'd just realize he's wrong, blush, and slink back into the shadows?" Nikki asked, with a mischievous smirk, and a tone that evidenced that she felt that was not the case. She waited a moment to grab Dima's attention.
"This is the kind of guy who'd claim it was a conspiracy by the Lemurian delegation to the Alien Nazi Illuminati, paid in full by a joint commission of Psyche and the Free Masons." Nikki explained "Strikes me as the kind of guy who'd not just not let it go?"
"So let me ask this? What does it feel like to screw over a racist jackass, and then read his idiot spewings about it over the internet?" Nikki asked, then chuckled a few times to hint at the answer to hint to Dima what the answer was?
"It sounds like a pleasant deed in the name of justice, a hilarious move for a prankster, and generally speaking... I suppose entertaining." Glenn answered, hir expression calm and relaxed. It appeared that Nikki had experience with the use of her tounge...while Glenn felt just a bit embarassed about that particular way she put it in her mind, glancing off just slightly.
Dima ponders. "I...suppose. I mean, it would be hilarious to see him rant. But you're forgetting one, key, VERY important detail. Adrian...isn't Torben. Now Torben, he's a jerk. He's got a blog, and that's about it. He rants on the net...he's a jerk, and he's fun to handle. Now, Adrian...Adrian is different. Adrian has been on the news since before I was born. HE does human interest stories. I mean, REAL human interest stories. He's part of the local color. His restaurant...it's been through all the economic downturns. Come the apocalypse, it will still be standing. Pranking this guy, that's one thing. But...if I get involved with this, and screw it up...he could RUIN me. I'd be happy to watch him burn...but you're asking me to put myself in the flames."
She crosses her arms, and huffs. And...as she talks...there's a bit of fear in her eyes.
Ruined... ouch... fair enough. Well, she was somewhat willing to take the risk herself though...
Nikki took out her phone, and handed it to Dima "Here, use mine. If you can just text something in, it'll get traced back to me instead of you. I'm from out of town, so he wouldn't be able to find much dirt on me, and I've been told I can talk my way out of anything, anyways."
Nikki rolls Reasoning 4 and invokes her Tactical Genius (P) for an aspect called (I Thought You Might Try That) for a +2 to represent preparations against Adrian trying to get revenge.
Additionally, Nikki also makes the Declaration (From Out Of Town), rolling Reasoning 4 again. This aspect is invoked against Adrian if he tries to get any information on Nikki, as Nikki isn't a local, only moved in at the beginning of the school year, and it would require Adrian searching for information in an unfamiliar environment.
(Okay, sorry for editing your stuff. Today, we learned that using brackets does not play well with things)
Dima looks at the phone, shocked...and is ready to do what she is told, though she's distracted by, well, Nikki's kindness. "I...I...wow. You...know this guy can do a lot of bad stuff, right? I mean, he can do a lot of GOOD stuff to...but, well, people think he's like Richard Atenborough..."
