"Oh, Chii!" Millie jumps forward to catch the demon in an anxious hug. Then she pulls back and cups her hands over her mouth, bouncing with her heels and knees. "Are you okay? You saw Celia do it? But why? She's crazy! Ohhhh, what if it was Celia I saw with the fruit!? Or the old man!? This isn't good, it's not good..."

As Greta moves to respond, she sees Delphi on the phone, and raises an eyebrow. Maybe she'd have a better job cutting through red tape then Greta. While Greta is good at this..Delphi has the advantage of not having USED her connections as much, so they're more willing to give her favors.
As for Delphi, the voice on the phone tells her to wait. Then, tells her they are contacting a relevant doctor who can visit...as she's trained in investigations as well. There's a pause. And Delphi can hear...music play. Not the 'hold music'. This appears to be...Rock music with a synthetic influence. Something about a city, glass, twenty stories...it's quite a catchy tune. It's quite loud, though, enough that Delphi has to move the phone away.
As Millie and Chii talk, the music progressively grows softer and softer from the phone. And, in the distance...they can actually hear something. It's taken a few minutes...but, in the distance...
And then the doors to the warehouse burst open, as a woman dressed in military fatigues stands there.
Behind her, a second woman is dressed in...well, the skimpiest outfit they've seen. 'Daisy duke' shorts, and a tied shirt that barely keeps her breasts from popping out. Double-sided tape may be involved. She's also holding a tablet...and whistles a little. "You have...really good speakers on this thing. But I think your cell mighta fallen out back there Doc Burke"
The military fatigued woman sighs. "Kasa...Please don't interrupt my entrance. And you shouldn't be here..."
"Hey, I got a permit...and, besides, you're cutting our meeting short!"
"... I know. Just...this is a pretty high priority thing."
The first woman runs her hands through her blond hair, and yellow eyes, with pupils in the shape of a star. The other woman had red hair, showcasing some Irish heritage, and bright blue eyes. Not Elijah Wood blue...but pretty good. The first woman, at closer glance, is almost inhumanely beautiful. Not to the level of a sidhe...but definitely close. Just looking at her...she radiates confidence, poise, and perfection. Her bearing is Perfect Military.
The other? She has an athletic build, a few scars from old wounds, and a bandage on the top of her left foot, visible thanks to her lack of shoes. There's also a large, healing bite mark on her right shoulder. She isn't exactly traditionally pretty, but she definitely has her own charm. Especially with her current outfit, she shows off an impressive bit of breast development, actually disproportionate to her build, and has likely had some Shaping rituals used to modify her body.
Dr. Burke, the military woman, turns to the group. "You guys need some help? You got Me and Kasa." Delphi can actually recognize her...Burke is Delphi's Psyche-assigned psychologist. And Millie's assigned psychologist. In fact, pretty much anyone who has a psyche-assigned psychologist knows Dr. Burke. "So...any more info?"

"I suggest asking them" Delphi says, pointing to Greta & Millie, "I was just informed of this, and as one of the few people who can't be affected by the fruit," the branches growing from Delphi's back shake a little and make noise, as if displaying their presence, "I'm planning on helping."

"Yeah!" Millie pipes up. "I saw the whole thing. Well, most of the thing. And also the other thing!" Straightening up, she taps the butt of her staff against the floor. "This company has this scientist, and he took Celia and a bunch of hobos! And they are going to feed them fruit until they die! I don't know how much time we have!"

Dr. Burke is complettely silent as she stares at Millie. She turns to Greta, and says but a single word. "Translation?"
One quick update later, Burke nods. "Okay, so...Au Long corporation is getting hobos to 'volunteer' for an experiemnt. In that experiment, they are fed Dryad Fruit, which is a heavily restricted good that you are NEVER to feed to anyone ethically under any circumstances. Reserach into Dryad fruit requires a lot of approval, and they definitely did not get that, because I would know. Furthermore, feeding Dryad fruit to large enough groups of people to get a sample size would lead to, well...massive death rates. Considering a survival rate of 1% with males...and a rate of being crippled for eternity at, functionally, 100%...Yeah. It's like testing the lethality of arsenic on people. Plus, if your people are in there they are in danger."
She rubs her forehead. "We gotta get there, locate the fruit, and stop them. I hate to say this, but I am going to need Millie's help. As she's a registered Oracle, she's legally required to be there so that testimony can be given, and she can get any other evidence."
Kasa looks up. "I'm going too. I'm a registered Freelancer. I can locate if there is any fruit on premise." She taps her nose, which turns black and lupine for a brief second before reverting. "Could smell if a dryad fruit's been in the building within the past week. Those things have a heck of a scent."

Chii returns Millie's hug and tries to reassure her. "Millie....it's okay...the 'old Man' was Seina in disguise, yes? And I think Celia is too smart to eat the Dryad fruit now..."....then, the doors burst open and Chii's train of thought is derailed for a moment by the loud and distracting arrival of Dr. Burke and the other woman.
She nodded when Dr. Burke talked about the issues with dryad fruit. That was almost exactly what she thought - there were very few remotely ethical ways she could think of to experiment with dryad fruit, and forcing homeless people to sign leonine contracts and using them as metaphorical guinea pigs, whatever they were trying to accomplish, was certainly not.
She pauses to listen until they are finished...then steps forward.
"Dr. Burke? I...would like to see this through. As a healer, I am...offended by such a blatant violation of medical ethics." Chii pauses. She thinks that Millie would want her there as well, but decides not to go out and say it. "And....Celia is a friend of sorts, and she may be in danger, no?"

Delphi walks up to Kasa and asks, "Um, does your Dryad Fruit sensing nose have any problems with me? I've eaten the Dryad Fruit and, through some... complications, it kind of turned into this tree on my back." Delphi points her thumb at the tree growing behind her head, "And that means that I could cause problems for you locating the Dryad Fruit. Not that I won't be coming regardless, I feel responsible since they might be using information on my... painful transformation into an Oread as a reason why they're conducting research."

Because there's no reason that testing on otherwise willing and dying patients is allowed, is there. Felix thinks to himself upon again hearing that there's "no ethical means of feeding someone Dryad Fruit", At least we're certain that it's not the case this time. After all, if it was, they wouldn't be kidnapping supposedly "unwanted" people from the street to feed it to, they'd be asking for volunteers from the terminal patients in hospitals around the country, if not the world.
"I'll come too. Might as well help if I can." Felix said, while getting out of his seat.

Millie looks back at Chii, aghast. "That's even worse! Now the building is going to be on fire when we get there, too! Come on!" She tugs at Chii's arm, tapping the butt of her staff urgently on the linoleum. "We gotta go! We gotta -- um. We gotta get a map. And then we gotta go!"

As Millie confirms Chii's hypothesis by way of tugging her arm, Chii quietly wonders just what she may have seen. If things are truly that dire...or perhaps she is just worried about Celia, Seina, and the homeless victims. She turns towards Millie, and responds to the tugging with another quick hug, in an attempt to reassure her...and point out that they can't just go there right this immediate second.
"Millie?...I agree we need to go, and time is not to be wasted...but we need a plan with the others also. And transportation, yes?"
...she seems completely unaware of a slight blush on her cheeks, and seems not to realize any issues from hugging someone twice in two minutes.

It is at that moment that a girl in stonewashed jeans and a black leather jacket walks in, working a cigarette out of her pack of smokes. She gets as far as the room's threshold before she finally fishes one out, glances up as she moves to place the cigarette to her lips, and pauses, noticing the large amount of people, as well as Dr. Burke, in the room.
Several questions run through her mind, but the presence of at least a Raven, if not Dr. Burke's own presence, answers at least one of them. Those who might have noticed her entrance can, possibly, detect her own presence; a Perfect Manipulator.
Serena Summers pulls down her sunglasses, revealing cross-shaped pupils, "Uh... Doc? Is now a bad time to join the Meta Club?"

Coming right up behind Serena is a nerdy looking boy, wearing a crimson vest coat. He straightens his vast and pulls out a leather bound book, leaning left and right to see around Serena. Pulling a pencil from behind his ear, letting out a yelp as he takes some of his dark brown hair with it. Latimer drops the follicles as he tries brushing the rest back into his foot-long ponytail. Is this the Meta Club? Looks… interesting?
“Um… Hello? What’s going on? Is this where the Meta Club meets? I think I’m a little lost.”

Millie lets out a slow hiss of air. She turns to look at Chii... and pauses a moment, before reaching out to rub at the demon's cheek. The distraction is momentary, however. Soon, Millie is pacing around again, making piteous sounds through clenched teeth and pulling her hat over her eyes as she frets to and fro.

Dr. Burke rubs her forehead, and looks around. "Okay, Summers, Blaize...we can talk on the way. I have a plan that should be relatively safe. At the least, it keeps us out of danger. And, for our new arrivals, while you are at the meta club...we have a little 'incident' we need to deal with. Okay, I can get us a car, at the least by calling Uber. As for the plan, Me, Kasa, and Millie will go in. I'll interogate them and inform them there's an inspection going on, while Kasa will keep an eye on the scent...and Millie can look for more signs of something going on. The rest of the group can provide escort in case something bad happens. We should be in and out pretty quick. Our main goal would normally be just to get evidence...but we also need to find out what happened to your two friends...what were their names?"
She looks towards Millie and Chii, curious. "We need to get them out of there. I can get the police on standby, to move in once we get evidence...but we need to make sure they don't have hostages. I can't exactly get SWAT, here. Any questions?"

"I haven't been told yet if my scent, well, the scent of my back-tree, could interfere with the scent-based search yet." Delphi said.
