Out behind an old abandoned church, there happens to be a graveyard. A large grey stone mausoleum is there, covered in cracks with fallen chunks beside it and moss growing over it. Crumbling statues of dragons stare down upon the entry, where what should be decorative torch stands suddenly burn brightly when approached. Inside a set of stairs lead down into a darkened room of simple graves, and another flight down brings more crumbling ones, roots growing into the room and moss on the faded stones, covered in an eerie blue light from the torches. Continuing ever deeper leads to a darkened area, lit only by dark purple flames into the final chamber, in the center of the large room lays but a single black stone coffin. Any kind of marker or such, life to death dates, are either faded or overgrown with more of the oddly large amounts of plant life in there.

Haunted leads Robin to an old church and behind, past the crumbling graves and to the mausoleum. The torches on the outside burst into flame and some light can be seen coming from the inside as well as those torches light. She starts slowly floating in down the stairs. "I like it here....feels safe..."

Robin takes a look around as she is lead to what is Haunted's safe haven
"It... has athmosphere, no doubt about that..."
She replies, running a finger over a wall to check for any dust.
"Is there a particular reason why this place is considered safe by you ? Well...I suppose aside from the fact that I doubt anybody really wants to hang around in the place where corpses are being held..."

There is a fair bit of dust on the walls, this place clearly isn't ancient but no living feet have stepped foot in it for quite some time. As they soon reach the bottom, Haunted starts floating in circles around the large stone coffin in the dark light. "The walls keep the forest out...but flowers are already growing..." She points over to an actually quite clear part of the floor. "And trees...the forest is getting closer...but its safe for now..." She now points over to one of the walls, where there is clearly no trees, merely a cracked dark stone wall.

Robin says, raising an eyebrow. Of course a ghost would be prone to act out of place but that was...unexpected
"Say...what do you do here when you get bored ? Without a good tv or games or...well even books. Or electricity to begin with."
She asks curiously, opting not to lean against the wall she examined.

Haunted almost seems confused by the question, before shrugging. “I don’t do much….mostly run...if I ever stop it will get me again....” She starts speeding up her floating around the coffin as she speaks, starting to flicker again before calming down once more. “Sometimes I wander around...see what’s going on...like earlier...though sometimes people don’t like me around...they called a man with white clothes and burning stuff and tried to get rid of me...they went away at least...”

(Actually, as I said, Ghosts don't do Life Force stress...however, the area takes 2 stress. Since it's an abandoned crypt, that means a minor consequence. In this case, phantom sounds fill the area, whispers in the distance, though they quickly fade.)
With Haunted's powers...she can make an illusion as real as life!

As Robin watches, the once dead stone floor seems to have grass growing from it now, in fact, where Haunted had pointed prior and around the room dark red flowers are poking up. The wall that she had pointed too doesn’t seem to be there anymore, the other walls fading off into the scene. Said scene seems to be a grassy plain, darkening as it reaches a forest. The trees grow tall and close together, gnarled branches reaching out towards the little room, the trunks almost looking like they have twisted faces on them. More of the red flowers and other such plantlife can be seen out there, all with a somewhat threatening feel to it...as if it’s really trying to get them.

Robin staggers back a bit at the sudden change of scene, her mouth staying open as her eyes widen, aswell as her somewhat short 'eyebrows'... huh

She lets out in surprise, her hands reaching behind her for a wall or similiar in the subcounscious process of comprehending the expansion of the room.
"Trust me I definately don't want you gone, you don't seem like a problem...I'd just take you to a trip to Ikea."
(Am I supposed to roll against the envocation ? I mean it does affect my character but such rolls seem fairly complicated and in this case, it's not harming my character too. Do players generally get a chance to defend against such rolls ? Just felt like pointing it out, may be good to know for the other players too.)

Haunted meanwhile doesn't seem startled or surprised at all by the change of scene, and merely starts floating around Robin. "That's good...what's Ikea though...? And are you all right...?"
(As for a roll, reading through the illusion power you can do a perception roll to realize this is an illusion, I believe it would be a roll of five. It also states that you have to have a reason to suspect it's an illusion, which you very clearly do as this stuff wasn't there a moment ago. So I'd call yes you can roll if you wish, but all it takes is a foot passing through a flower or the grass to realize what's up without a roll.)

(Haunted got it right. You may do a Perception roll, against the DC of the second manipulative check. The GM may rule that the roll was unnecessary, or that the roll's DC is impossible. An example of an unnecessary DC, would be if you tried to enter the field. An example of an impossible DC, would be making an illusionary rock in a field of rocks.)

"I am not sure if this is normal for me, but usually, things stay looking the same... and don't go from old rundown building to suddenly outside... unless magic was involved of course... and it was, of course. I am fine, just surprised"

Haunted for once, stands on the ground and walks out a bit into the field. "This was always here...maybe you didn't notice it...don't you ever see the trees as they follow you...? The forest lives...and it doesn't want me to..." She slowly walks towards the trees, before dashing back and lifting into the air once more to float by Robin. "I think I might be broken...I'm the only one who can see...and when they see they run from me...not from what they see...am I really that scary?" She says, looking to Robin. At the moment, she is looking less scary more adorable and scared. Moe mode engaged. |

She says, looking to Haunted...and shakes her head at the sight of the rather cutely insecure ghost
"You don't really seem scary to me, but people are afraid of what's different than themselves. Trust me..."
She says and frowns in remembrance of the past
"If you stick around in college, you'll get to hang around people who aren't afraid of you, it'll be a good opportunity to hang out with other people, like me for example"

Haunted nods "If...you say so..." She eventually resumes her calmer, spaced out demeanor. "Having people be not afraid...is good...college...I don't think I've ever been...to one...maybe....I don't remember things well...maybe there was nothing to remember...I'm glad you aren't scared...no one's even been here before...after I was here really..."
