Nikki arrived at the parking garage, and takes a good look, slowly approaching the site. She was trying to get a good sense for any advantage, no matter how fleeting, she could get. Nikki might have come across as a lout on occasions, but she was not stupid.

James managed to get here in time, deciding to put map back for awhile, and he took cover nearby Nikki, so as to not make his presence known. He knows that the best he can do now, when there is no conflict involving him currently, is to find any small details that might prove to be useful.

Niko has chosen to drive here, parking a safe distance away and opening the trunk of her car, getting her pistols out and holstered, before properly joining the others. Seeing the others are analyzing the situation, she chooses to hang back and wait for her time to shine. Like, say, if those ninjas show up.

Clint enters the scene, beginning to look around "Allright guys, I am pretty sure something just blew up here, but what was it exacty ?" He asks, sniffing the air to get an idea of what it could have been...

Chii arrives behind Nikki, and immediately makes an assessment of the situation, focusing specifically on looking to see if there are any wounded in the area that need treatment.

Okay, first off, the Assessments.
(James, good job with mimicking Nikki. It's always good to learn from others, and you did a great idea. As a reward, I'll give you some advice. You can use Perception for Assessments. You also used the wrong stat for reasoning. (It's why I asked to post up your sig links). I'll let you switch to that for free. That means you get an Assessment of +5. Which means you get a hefty bonus. Thanks to your Spin, you, and everyone else, have two tags on an important aspect: PLENTY OF ROOM.)
James easily notices the key detail of the parking garage. It's big. Really, really big. It's got plenty of corners, room to park multiple uprights, tons of cars everywhere, and plenty of places to hide. It's a real good place for a fight. The only place better would be a classy antique shop.
(Nikki, good job on your assessment. You inspired other party members too...and GREAT use of a permenant aspect. Remember, you can use it for a reroll if you get too low. And, you can also do Declarations, so that you yourself determine what the aspect is.)
Nikki remembers an old episode of some show she saw once.. The proper damage to a car can hit the gas tank, and cause an explosion. It takes either a pretty big, or a pretty precise blow. Gunshot directly to the right area, or totaling it so much there's nothing left of the gas tank. It's a side effect of the measures used to improve MPG in cars. This area is full of CARS GO BOOM.
As for Chi...she can see it easily. With her masterful perception, she notices the figure sitting carefuly in the corner. Someone is hurt, and it looks like they have minor burns that were stamped out. They don't appear in lethal shape, but they do need medical attention.

Xue Fang arrives on the scene with a cautious glance. She's more than ready to tangle at the moment, her fingers trailing over the hilt of her sword. This was going to be... fun. Though despite the thought rattling around in her brain pan the tension rose in her heart to speed it up just a hair more. Just needed to figure out what was going on...

Alright, so these cars could go off if they got shot; luckily, Construction Uprights didn't have guns, and she wasn't used to hearing about gun-toting ninjas either. At any rate though, not like she could safely take advantage of it through any means short of throwing her trusty spear as if it were a javelin... although being disarmed would certainly be a problem in and of itself.
Once Chii started moving towards the man, Nikki noticed him as well. But at the same time... she wasn't entirely sure this was correct. He could easily be bait, or worse, intentional bait who would plunge a knife in Chii as soon as he could arrange it. At that, Nikki followed Chii at a distance, in case there was trouble. Particularly in case that trouble decided to take advantage of the cars "Be careful, Chii. This is a warzone waiting to happen." she warned him in a cautioning tone.
-
Nikki rolls Perception (Base: 2) and once again invokes her Tactical Genius persistent aspect to look for signs that the man is bait for a +2, intentionally or otherwise for a trap. She also uses her free invoke (from discovering the aspect via assessment) of the CARS GO BOOM situation aspect for another +2, as it is VERY MUCH a possible way things could go wrong for a trap, and thus provides her some pointers on possible ways this could be a trap, to look for explosives on the man or other things that could activate the aspect, ect. She, however, also takes a -1 to this action due to also taking the supplementary action described below. This totals out to a base of 5. <Note: In case you're wondering why I used Perception rather than Reasoning, it's because it's still that she's looking to perceive a trap in what's actually present, rather than where it would theoretically be the best... but being a tactical genius, she still has a good sense of where to look)
F9cS56Qd
As a supplementary action, additionally, Nikki rolls her Persuasion (Base: 4) to place the [Proceeding With Caution] aspect on Chii as a maneuver, which Chii can use on a defensive roll to avoid being caught in a trap or defensive rolls related to this, if it's a trap.
Nikki invokes her Tactical Genius aspect once more for a reroll of her main action.

Nikki's skillfull perception and reasoning are such, that she could find almost anyone. She knows exactly where to go, what to do...and how to make a trap. As she looks at the ninja, she can quickly ascertain key details. The way he's laid, the positions of the cars, everything. It's all clear to her. And so is this. All his burns are superficial. None of them impair his functioning...and they look like burns from backlash from using an upright without training, or a malfunctioning upright. He's looking injured, but the way he's standing, it's so he can easily get up quickly. One of his hands is turned away, hiding some sort of device, it looks like...and the cars nearby have blinking lights on the bottom. At hearing Nikki yell "It's a Trap!" Chii stops, just in time. The Ninja's eyes glint open, and he presses the button on whatever he's holding. The rooftop caves in in front of Chii, sending her backwards. The Ninja himself uses the chaos to disappear...and, standing in front of them...is the stolen upright, sheets of steel places to hide its weaknesses. The upright moves into a battle posture, two large tines of metal on each hand, normally used to lift heavy, bulk containers. But being hit with them...will likely hurt. As a vehicle, it's nigh impossible to damage with small arms, unless someone is very clever, or very strong. But it is clearly, clearly hostile... (We are now in initiative. Okay, this is important. Do NOT worry about posting in initiative order. You have 24 hours before I post up the next round, unless you notify me. Mara, Kate, Clint, Chii, Xue, Nikki...It's up to you. I can sort things in initiative order. Just post up your actions! And now, we have some music: www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3472Q6kvg0 )

Clint swallows "Guys. We have a BIG problem here."
He only stays intimidated for a moment before he musters up his courage, stepping forward and cracking his fingers in preparation as he positions himself vaguely in front of the Upright, just a big piece of moving metal after all...
"I hope you guys either know how to run really fast, or punch really hard. I think number 2 applies well to me. I can give you enough time before I have to bail myself... Or, instead, you guys help me and we can turn this oversized Bot The Builder into scrapmetal. Who's in ?" He asks.
Clint has a wide grin showing his sharp teeth as he sees one of the best opportunities to show who's among the bigger numbers in the equation.

Chii halts, barely in time, as Nikki warns her. She then flies back from the collapsing roof, landing not too far from Nikki, not seriously hurt.
Her response to the sudden appearance of the hostile upright is.....unexpected, and possibly stupid. She faces the upright....and speaks to it.
"I know someone is in there, no? I beg of you, please halt now and consider talking things through?"
((Chii uses Empathy 3 + b11YIw42 + Defining Aspect "Loving, Trusting, Honest Demon Medic." in an attempt to get the upright's pilot to stop their rampage and speak rather than fight - which I believe qualifies as Mental stress)) ···

Xue Fang on the other hand, grins. They were playing her song now. The cyborg dashes forward. Things slowed down. She had to move - now - if she was going to get this thing down. It was exciting! It wasn't all full of holes and straw! They went through some work for this. Finally. Xue draws her weapon with the charge. The knicks on the blade showing itself as she coils it out - the weapon becoming more like a bladed whip on her charge. Yeah. Probably not punching really hard. But putting it face first would help! The speed she gained gave her freedom to move, and she slid. She rolled. She flipped and danced, trying to hook her blade just so - and make this thing face plant like an AT-AT with a few too many!
