Hm. Well. That was weird. Eh. More press. This is an interesting turn of events though. Could use a bit of speculation. Xue Fang sips on her milkshake as she pauses on her approach to the Meta Club. Publicity. Now who could've done this. Oh. A few. Hm. Well it'll be nice entertainment for a few moments.

(Okay, Dream...the Official Adventures do NOT use liquid time within the subforum...so, I'm afraid you'll either have to aid the Investigations into the Cult OR The Presence. In this case, I actually recommend "The Presence". Normally, I'd do this privately, but I need to establish precedent. Note that, as soon as other GMs get involved, we'll make a sub-thread for their adventures. And, you can do one of their adventures and one of mine at the same time. It's confusing...but it's because each Admin Adventure is one single coherant story, going on at the same time.)
The reporters look at the new arrival...and Mika wanders over towards Casey. And waves.
As for Torben? He walks over to Destiny. (Who gets a fate point) "I know you...you were on the news. You work for that Kumiho? What's it like working for a soul-devouring abomination." He pauses, and gets in her face...looking at her eyes. "Are you replaced by a Kitsune?"

Destiny looks to Torben, seemingly annoyed by his rudeness. "First off, 'soul devouring abomination' is a 'inside voice' thing to say." Destiny rolled her eyes at Torbens second question. "Secondly, would I really say if I'd been replaced by a kitsune? It's about like asking someone if they're undercover police, of course they're going to say no."

Torben blinks. "And WHY do you say that someone shouldn't publicize the presence of a SOUL DEVOURING ABOMINATION should not be published!"
And...he pulls out his camera and levels it at Destiny. "Do you support Soul Devouring Abominations and Kumiho!" He twists it, and a red filter comes over the end.

Destiny attempts to avoid the camera lenses, the reporter can't do anything if she's not on camera right? She shouts at the reporter, now thoroughly irritated by him. "Stop right now! Or do you want to face slander charges for your comments about my boss and our company?!"

Casey actually looks really nervous when they mention kumiho....
"P-please s-stop....." Casey hides behind Destiny. "Please make him stop talking about Kumiho, Dessy...I can still feel it...trying to eat me.....Like when we went to tour that factory in Okinawa our company owns..."
Casey actually is crying now. Those Acting lessons really paid off.

... What. Okay, the one freakout was wierd enough, but now they were just insulting the heiress. She had a feeling said kitsune was not a soul sucking monstrosity, and between their outlandish behavior and now this, Nikki finally had lost her temper. This guy needed someone to tell him just how much of an idiot he was "What box of stale Cracker Jacks did you get your damn journalism degree from!? Six year olds could ask more objective questions than you!? You open up an interview by calling someone a monster, what are you thinking!? Why you ought to be ashamed of yourself, turn yourself into the cops, and appologize to whoever you stole that press badge from! Here's my first set of interview questions for you: why do you suck so much? Why are you an idiot? Well guess what, that's what you sound like to me! You're a disgrace to your field! And you come in, hiding in a bush, acting like a mad man, in front of a frickin' school club..." Yeah, that rant was going to end any time soon.
The good news is that Nikki is too focus on yelling at him and trying to shame him than actually making focused arguments, so it's unlikely at the moment that the journalist would be emotionally scared. But her beauty, the fact her physical beauty almost has a motherly aspect to it, general charisma, and not being given the chance to get in a word edgewise might cause him from doing anything to her.
Nikki goes off on a rant against Torben, attempting to block him with "Long Winded Rant" from speaking out of pure shock, guilt, and generally not being given an attempt to get a word in edgewise. Persuasion 4 + her striking looks Expert Advantage (assuming he finds girls attractive) for +2, plus I invoke her Maternal Beauty to add another +2 for a base of 8.

Toben successfully knocks Destiny off balance. While she can't just dodge the camera easily, her voice still coming across...And her will isnt' enough to handle him. (This is what FP is for, people...rerolling a -2). "The truth will not be surpressed! I fear no slander."
Then he sees Casey start to cry...as Mika, standing nearby, trains her camera on Torben. He doesn't respond, simply pointing at Casey. "See! She's admitting she was attacked by a Kumiho...who likely REPLACED her, and is just faking! Kumiho are well known for such tactics, and such deceitfulness. And Kitsune are famed for being mischievous impersonators"

(Torben will be defending with Deception in Casey's direct attack...And will spend a FP to negate Casey's Lovable, using his own "Always calculating and concluding" With that...he takes 1 social stress. (This is what stacking is for.))
And then Nikki starts talking, and talking. Mika actually visibly adjust her mic to pic up on other things, and upon seeing he was outnumbered...He smiles. The camrea can't pick it up, but all present can. "Who cares about this, anyway. I overheard the list of students! I'll talk to them!" And he rushes off, to find the potential recruits...and see what they have to say!
Mika blinks. "You mean the list we ALL got?"
(Torben concedes the conflict! Victory to Casey!)···

Niko scratches the back of her head with a bit of confusion. "Heiress, huh? So we have actual royalty around now?"
All this talk about 'kumiho' though... time to refer to the journal. She'd have to take what she read with a grain of salt, of course, given her own wolfish experiences...

While she reads, she looks to Mika. "Your buddy's a bit excitable, ain't he?"···

Mika shrugs. "He's not my buddy...he had the directional microphone. Adrian had the info. I...have a really nice car. It's a team of necessity. Directional mic is cool, though."
As for NIko? "Kumiho. A foxlike demon. Hideously evil. They kill their victims, and absorb said victim's soul, granting them all the knowledge the victim possesses. Can shapeshift into the victim. They are all completely insane. If you see a Kumiho, kill it like an animal. Just be sure...they look almost exactly like the more harmless Kitsune. Who are quite friendly. "
What follows is a list on how to handle illusions, notes on stuff...huh. Apparently Kumiho are allergic to antibiotics. Kitsune too.

About this time Xue Fang finally makes her approach. That was certainly a thing. If the club was going to be swarmed with reporters constantly, this would make things a bit difficult. Might be worth while to invest in some bouncers. Hm. Well, put that on the mental list. Could be something of an endeavor. Xue stirs her drink idly and sidles up to Niko. "Seems you guys got some fans huh?"

Niko closes the journal. "Well, actually, they're all fans of the girl who just showed up." she says, and then shrugs. "I doubt she's a kumiho, in any case, it'd be tactical suicide to head into a group full of people who could kick her ass. That being said... yeah, we gotta figure out how we're going to handle with the press, and logistics ain't my strong suit. Any ideas?" she asks Xue.

Delphi watched all the actions with Torben unfold, getting irritated at the obnoxious stupidity that the reporter was showing. When it was all over, she looked at Mika and Adrian, before saying, "I think that teams of necessity may need a greater variance of necessity than 'directional microphone', especially when you're thinking of working with a paranoid and crazy person like him. Especially since, if he was the one with it, wouldn't he have just run off with the directional microphone, making bringing him along completely pointless to the two of you?"
Delphi stopped for a moment, before saying "I mean, should we follow the bigot to try to prevent him from harassing people, now?"
