A list of food, drink, and 'monster' species that were actually real, and thus not appropriate to wear as Halloween costumes had been passed around. Aside from that, the Meta Club was decorated with all the trappings of a typical Halloween party. There was food, non-alcoholic drink, music, and generally the usual stuff that was at the Meta Club in the evening.
Nikki... was not to happy though. It was hard for her to find costumes other than 'sexy' or 'girly'. Apparently, there were no costumes that wouldn't flaunt her feminine form that weren't like a giant thing of McDonalds Fries or something, and she didn't have the craftsmanship to make a plain white t-shirt, let alone some complex cosplay. So she'd managed to find a women's Grim Reaper costume in her size. It was perfect!
Or at least she thought it was. Apparently, after she bought it, she realized that just because it didn't show skin didn't mean it didn't flaunt her curves. The material was relatively form fitting, and highlighted her curves. Ugh, she hoped nobody got onto her about that; hopefully, it wouldn't play havoc with her tomboy rep.

Celia, predictably, was pigging out. She had a plate with a slider and a pumpkin cookie on it. This wouldn't be much for most people, but when you're the size of a basketball, those pieces of food were each about as big as a cake, relatively speaking. It was a wonder that she could eat all of that, or at least would try that.
As for her own costume... she was wearing a tiny Super Girl costume. Except she was obviously... a lot less buxom. Considering her outfit, anyone who played Touhou might recognize that she was cosplaying as a Shanghai Doll.

"Ms. Howell."
Alexis looms over the dryad. At first glance, the gorgon does not appear to be in costume. On further inspection, the bright pink undershirt, highly stylized skirt, sunglasses, and furred scarf suggest she's wearing some kind of costume, though who could say what obscure TV character she is supposed to be.
"My compliments on the attire. It's a bit bold for you--if leagues below the usual excesses we see in the sororities here." The gorgon sips on punch from a "fancy" plastic glass through a bendy straw.

Xue for her entrance into the party. Her garb is a bit... predictable. She comes in as Chun Li from Street Fighter. Her garb uses flesh colored sleeves to try and draw away from her cybernetics on her arms, and the darker colored ones more typically fitting Chun Li's outfit. She looks over those in the area, letting her eyes ascertain, measure, and move on. Some a bit longer than others - before moving on to get herself something to drink!

Alastor walks in with a grimace and dripping blue paint. "I have no idea what it is with people and throwing blue paint at me tonight. It's a good thing I left my jacket back at my dorms or someone would be hurting right now."

Nikki blushed when her costume was brought up "I... I didn't know it was so... form fitting until after I bought it." she sputtered.
That Chun-Li cosplay though on Xue. She blushed a bit more, before shouting over to Xue "Hey, nice cosplay!"

That gets a smile from Xue. She looks over the outfit and manages a shrug as she plays off the look. "Oh this? Yeah it was a pretty popular look. Pretty easy to pull off too." She says in following, trying to make it a bit more low key. "Though your outfit? Uh... nice look?" She manages and tries to go over to Alexis, "What about you? I don't.. um.. quite get that one?"

"I-I didn't know it fit like this until after I bought it..." she stuttered, blushing even more.

"Hey, nice costume!" Alastor would hear a high pitched voice. If he looked down, he'd see a tiny, red-headed human.
"Wait, isn't the Blue Man Group bald though?" she asked. She wasn't mocking him... she was being totally serious.

"Well, of course it would," Alexis replies. "With your figure, anything less form fitting will hang like a lamp cover." Her critique is interrupted by Xue. "This? Just an outfit I saw on some brats doll at the supermarket. It was a Halloween-themed lycanthrope doll, but I forewent the makeup and hairdressing for obvious reasons. I figure this way, I can make use of the individual pieces well past October."

Alastor looks down at the girl and tilts his head. "Who are you talking about? I've never heard of a Blue man Group. What kind of people are they?"

Dima, sitting there near the punchbowl, looks up and deadpans to Alastor. "Blue People." She goes back to her punch.

"Y-yeah, it is. Well, it used to be important, I think. Now it's just about dressing up in costumes, giving kids candy, and partying." Nikki told her, before giggling nervously "Around here, if we usually don't care or can't remember what a Holiday's really about, I-It's just an excuse to party. I mean, that's what we use it for."

"It's all very simple. In America, each generation is progressively more afraid of celebrating their own culture for its history of oppressive regimes and racism, and just as afraid of celebrating other cultures for fear of perpetuating that history. But the urge to celebrate and the desire to take part in community traditions is greater than our fears, and that paradox leads to a whole mess of bizarre American traditions. Especially on college campuses, where the ingrained fraternity lifestyle means everybody is looking for a reason to have a party. Halloween, New Year's Day, St. Patricks, Valentine's, Cinco de Mayo... they're all the same tradition of parties, gaudy costumes, and drunkenness, punctuated only by internet trends that last for less than a year."
