The group is soon ushered into a car, along with Xalforious, Jenny, and Aurora. Aurora, uniquely, seems to have a little tunnel that lets her slip into the back, where nobody can see her. At present, she's out in front with the rest, though...
And, then they can see it. A gigantic...machine. It looks to be partly organic in nature, and looks like nothing more then a large cylinder, with a viewpoint at the center, filled with fluid. At each end, is a panel, in which blood tests can be inserted, and a lot of buttons, dials, and eldritch symbols. The same is near the viewpoint.
Whatever it is, it's clearly something used for a specialized shaping ritual...but it has technological elements as well. Cee pokes her head in, and gives the faintest edge of a smile. "This...is what we are transporting. The first production model of a Homunculi Maker. With this...any pair of people may conceive a child, which can be fully monitored at each second of growth. No more necessity for Surrogate mothers. No more issues with people who cannot conceive. It's even, theoretically, possible to transfer a fetus from the mother to the Surrogate Chamber. No family who desires a child will ever be without one. And, if we can get the transfer procedure working...we may be able to prevent the necessity of abortions. Even gay MEN can still have a child. This is what we are delivering. We have the full plans stored on a hard drive, and we have the first prototype."
She nods to Casey. "If your company wishes, they can help with the manufacture? We also have a more...traditional gift that we can offer. An Upright prototype, and we're offering first rights to the production model. The...formal things will reacquire a lawyer, but we wanted to see if you were willing for an unofficial deal. To put it in layman's terms? Did you want to call dibs?"

Casey looks at the device smiles.
"Yes. We'd be honored to help you with this. This is something that many people in the world will need, no, deserve."
She looks at Destiny, remembering her father's machine is still a lost cause when it comes to repairs. It won't bring Mr. Resi back but, at least Dessy can pilot her dad's machine. Someday.
She then looks at Alexis.
"I'd like to ask for your services, Ms. Marinos. Not this minute, but once this is over."

Alexis nods appreciatively as Cee explains the technology's impact on society--then grimaces, for a moment. Her thoughts are put away when Casey speaks up to her. "Not to dictate the terms of this business arrangement, I hope," she replies in a dull tone. Her eyes remain focused on Cee and the machine.

Destiny nods to Cee. "Thank you, we will do our best with your prototype and you will not regret selecting us for your manufacturing needs. Though I would like to see the specifications for this prototype, we will need to know them to select a capable pilot for your upright."

We're all in this together, and you're the legal expert of the group. So I figured it would be only right to have you involved in this" Casey said sincerely.

"Well, I'll certainly have the time to discuss it once the prototype has been installed," Alexis assures Casey sharply. She looks back to Cee. "I'm surprised this machine isn't already prepared for transport. What's the next step?"

Aurora smiles. "Sadly, we can't get you the specs yet. After all, until the ink is dry on the paper, it's still kinda trademark. Plus, we already have a pilot!"
She gestures to Jenny, who puts on her aviator glasses. "Jenny Everywhere, expert pilot at your service. I'm a dimensional traveler, beyond even those that are called shards. It's darn hard to aim sometimes...but I get some fun stuff. I got an official Universal Pilot's License from...believe it or not, some guy called McQuack. Yeah...really, really silly. It happens. I once got stuck for a good five minutes in a dimension comprised entirely of shrimp."
Then the whole...area begins to spark. The party is quickly ushered into the Truck to take a seat...and then, the entire area just FLUXES, all the scenary shifting...and they're in what appears to be an arrival bay, with a large, mechanical-looking device nearby that appears burnt out. Workers in Psyche uniforms are busy putting things up and about, as the trunks move in...they're...outside the city? About an hour down the interstate.
Aurora smiles. "Ah, the joys of Human-style teleportation. You can even cross dimensions...it's just RIDICULOUSLY power intenstive. Glad they figured it out...a beacon on both sides helps make things a lot easier. It's a bit of a drive, though...so...we got about an hour to blow. Ghost stories?"

Glenn, who has stayed silent for most of the trip to take in the amazing sights of the shard dimension, the new... odd acquaintances, and ultimately found hirself on a truck seat "I was raised in a shard act-" Shi is interrupted, as the truck, fairly suddenly, teleports away, getting them close to town "...Convenient" Shi adds.

Alexis loses her collected expression for a moment as the scenery shifts. She stares, wide-eyed and lips parted, as the world around them changes, and almost stumbles as the ground shifts subtly under their feet. Portals were one thing, but a sudden scene change was surreal even in a childhood fantasy. As she regains her composure, Alexis turns her back to the party, crossing her arms as though she were simply surveying her surroundings.

Thirty minutes later...absolutely nothing has happened. It is actually quite boring. The group is coming up to a traffic jam, it looks like, as Aurora and Jenny both take naps. Now would be the perfect time to get to know the other people around, or talk with everyone. Especially with the traffic jam rather...stopping things.

Destiny looks over to Casey. "So this Jenny will be the pilot? I had intended to pick from a pool of our own employees, but I suppose we can allow one of their own to pilot this machine."

"Well I'm hoping this makes us get one step closer to fixing....Mr. Resi's machine" Casey said sadly, looking at Destiny.
"I'm sure he'd want you to pilot it once it's fixed."

Jenny smiles. "Well, I'm only the TEST Pilot...the idea is that when you move from this prototype, you can get a more traditional proto...Mr...Resi?"
Aurora looks up, and frowns. "Mr. Resi's machine? Destiny's father was a pilot?"

"So..." Alexis takes a moment, running through a list of agender titles in her head before giving up. "...Cee. We understand your plans for this prototype. But what role does the campus Meta Club have in this future? Are we a useful public face for your first installation? A shortcut around the usual negotiations with the Duo industrial machine?" Alexis brushes her serpents back, with a chorus of hissing. "You might not have all the answers, but I'm sure you can share some perspective about our shared future."
