Thanks, in part, due to the opinions of Xue and Nikki, amongst others, the club has been invited to a class on Abominations. The current teacher, at least main teacher, is Greta, due to her sources in the community. However, numerous guest teachers have been invited.
Greta looks over the gathered people, which include quite a few unfamiliar faces, including a guy who looks like he could be half-troll, a guy trying to assemble a miniature Upright model, and one girl who is quietly counting the credit cards in her wallet.
Greta looks around. "Now, for your first question. What is an Abomination. With a capital A, please. Not lowercase. The word is thrown around quite a bit, including with dryads such as I. Or Sidhe. Now, who in here can tell me the correct definition, as used by the Community, Gods, and Demons?"

"Honestly, I assumed that it's a catchterm for all of us non humans... but I think I'm in for a surprise, am I ?" Robin asks, sitting on her seat, albeit a bit leaned back in a lazy manner.

Greta nods. "Hence, why I specified the use of an upper case 'A'. Yes, non humans are often referred to as abominations, or monsters. However, the use of it with an upper case has a very, very specific use. Using it such as that is incorrect as referring to ghosts as Undead...which also has a separate meaning."

Xue Fang is seated upright as she listens. Her fingers tap against each other idly as she processes what's being said. Hn. For that matter, how do you define gods and demons? Everything was so wonky... Abominations? Something else. Well logically, if it wasn't a god, or a demon, or a ghost, or undead... that left.. what? Squid things? Like those.. ew. Nah, don't go there Xue. She pushes the image to back of her mind with a bit of a shiver, "Something that's not supposed to be?"

"Let me take a guess." Nikki mentioned "Well, if you can make a fruit tree that can turn humans into dryads, then it goes to say that you can make a lot of other stuff with psychic... science... engineering... you know,." Nikki, of course, was at a loss for terminology.
"But of course, that kind of versatility means there's probably a lot of nasty stuff that can be made. Like a psychic Frankenstein, or a chimera."
Nikki paused for a second, realizing she didn't know all the intellegent species "Err... well, presuming those aren't actual intelligent species. Y-you know what I mean." Nikki explained, trying to keep a straight face while blushing.
Regaining her composure, Nikki continued "So it stands to reason, long story short, that there are some less than pleasant folk out there that would abuse that kind of power to create beasts of raw destruction."

Ah, monsters. The true cornerstone foe of any true heroine. Surely, this would be a worthwhile class for Celia to attend. She could just imagine it: the teacher would explain giant monsters, and how to properly beat the living crap out of them. Celia, for once, kept quiet, hoping Greta would explain how to properly kick Godzilla in the shin.

James sat there and listened, as he tried to jot down important details in a small notebook. So far not much. However, he had an idea of his own, "Maybe Abominations are something that's absolutely abnormal, like I would call a three-handed, four-legged, multiple-headed being an Abomination... though, I probably exaggerate over here... Are they omnicidal?"

Greta nods at the group. "You are all...surprisingly close. Sadly, it is actually Xue who is closest. Your more detailed definitions seem to define relatively simple Shaping projects. Which...are a pain, yes. An abnormally powerful animal, or a shaping project gone awry, is generally classified as a Beast, also known as an animal with psychic abilities. One of the main duties of members of the community, is putting down these Beasts before they cause issues. If you've ever seen Jaws...many Beasts act like that. I do believe there was a Lemurian who had to live out an homage to that...she went swimming late at night, was attacked by...what I believe was later described as a 'sharktopus'."
She moves over to a blackboard, and begins to write on it. "An Abomination is best described as..."
Then, a woman steps in. She is...beautiful. She is standing next to a Dryad whose race is designed solely to be as beautiful as possible, and she has the kind of beauty that makes anyone in the room start doubting their sexuality. Or confirrming it. The girl counting credit cards suddenly turns a deep, deep, deeeeep red, and begins making vague noises. She...may need help with her notes.
The woman tosses her hair, dressed in a greek toga that somehow leaves nothing to the imagination, as she looks around. "An abomination is something that should not, and must not, be. I am Aphrodites. God of Love. I am an Abomination."

The small draconic figure of Asgreth walks through the door after Greta, not really giving her any heed as he makes his way to an empty desc.

Xue Fang quirks an eyebrow. The bit of a smirk forms on her lips at Greta's wording. Sadly? Huh. Well, Xue supposed, good to know expectations. So many ... interesting people. When Aphrodite enters there's that moment of awe. Of course that's because of - its sort of the goddess of love for crying out loud. Or.. abomination of love? Or.. confusion of things. Whatever. Right. Clear thoughts and try to focus.

"...Suddenly, I do not exactly understand why you'd be called an abomination." Robin says with a blush, aswell as a tilt of her head to try and hide a nerdy grinning expression... she simply can't hold herself back at the thought of this woman in certain... attires, she'd make for quite a substitute for a few known videogame characters, which lead her to... other... outfits.

Aphrodites smiles at Robin...and then goes boo. Now, normally, this would not be very scary. However, growing three rows of shark teeth, three extra arms, and two more heads tends to make it a BIT more threatening.
Then, in the blink of an eye, she's back to normal, as she gestures to her waist, upon which a beautifully crafted belt, appearing to mix a large variety of materials, is tied. "This is my 'chastity belt'. It restricts my power. I am a type of Abomination known as a Titan. Now...to explain what the Titans are...what do you all know of Life Force stress?"

Okay, Celia's face was as red as her hair. She wasn't particularly startled once Aphrodite did a few changes, but she was rather intrigued. And turned off.
She did know a fair bit about corruption, however. As a trained channeler who grew up heavily connected to the Community, she had a good idea about what the basic ideas of life-force were; after all, channelers fundamentally had to learn how to use their powers themselves.
"Well, the exact symptoms vary by species." Celia explained. Celia, unlike some others, was extremely well-trained on the fundamentals of using her life-force, at least metabolically "For humans, life force corruption tends to feel 'stretched' or 'hollow' for instance. It's caused by overexerting yourself or poorly using your psychic abilities. Some psychics, especially channelers like me, can directly attack life force though. Small-scale corruption is like a paper cut: it's not fun, but it'll go away. More severe life-force injuries can really hamper your use of psychic power though, and can even require professional treatment to heal."

Nikki's face was rather red as she looked at Aphrodite, and she almost wanted to shout out 'No you aren't' when it was mentioned she was an abomination. There was no way in Hell that someone that pretty... has several extra rows of teeth and a second head. Apparently she was an abomination, and rather startled at the change; then again, perhaps it was because of just how much attention she'd been paying in the first place.

Well that happened. Yeah. That happened. Its like that Hot and Cold song. But hey, you know what, there are worse things. If they have such types of extremes in power... and they weren't supposed to be engaged... Life Force Stress.. Well, Chi is what Xue knew it as. So, stress on Chi. Something that attacks it or tries to smear it out like a piece of gum till it snaps. So. Life Force stress... "Life Force stress is something that tries to destroy your chi, or consume it." Xue says, a bit uncertainly that is.
