Sentients usually were the only one ones able to use psychic powers. It's not like you could go out and teach a dog channeling, and if they did seem to know how, you were probably teaching a disguised Wolfen. Psychic animals did happen though. Sometimes it was a shaper's experiments, sometimes it was a fluke of nature. Thankfully they were always sterile. But for some reason, there were some in the sewers. The Meta Club had made it known that the need to investigate the sewers.
Everyone here volunteered. They originally tried to ask individually, but they decided to go 'first come first serve' after Dima went into a fit of laughter after being asked whether she was interested in helping. The team was waiting above ground for someone from the city sanitation department to get the manhole open.
The reward for helping? A small amount of money, a prodigious amount of soap and shampoo, a box of detergent, and a promise to replace their outfit.

"Oh, excuse me, sorry. Oh! Louo! Ne, mi qua. Bye!"
Millie taps her old staff on the sidewalk as she navigates around a mostly-imaginary crowd. The magus is wearing a cheap, plastic blue poncho over her street clothes, and she tromps onward in a pair of worn galoshes. When she arrives at the sewer entry point, Millie sways back and forth on her feet in a bouncy rhythm, wringing at her staff's midpoint with both hands. I got here first! Social victory! Or does that mean I wasn't appropriately late? Millie frowned slightly at the thought, then shook her head and pulled the poncho's hood up. She paused her rocking to look around, hoping to see another student.
[Should I try and set up some pre-delved spells for this?]

Niko has arrived. The white haired woman has opted to wear some roughed up jeans, older sneakers, a t-shirt a little too small for her, and a raggedy leather jacket. Still offered enough protection, but it was old and worn. She also has her usual fingerless gloves and two holsters at her sides, both filled with pistols.
Niko has pulled up in her car, and soon comes out and sits on the hood of it. "I'll take the lead down there. I have experience fightin' ugly things in deep, dark places... well, that's what I was trained to do, anyway."

Xue rolls up in a motorcycle. Yeah. This was going to be a thing, wasn't it? She settled back into the seat, watching the others. Yeah. This was going to be a thing. Xue slips up to her feet, moving towards the others. She's wearing a yellow jumpsuit fit with gloves, and carries her sword on her hip. "...?" Yeah. Well let's see... Sentient creatures. Fire usually works really well. Yeah. Xue needed some fire. She looks over to Niko, "Good to see you again."

"Oh. Oh!" Millie giggles with relief, swinging her old staff left and right along her waist. "Cool car! Is it new?" She looks about to say more, until Xue rolls up on her own motorped. Millie pauses then, biting her lip, until Niko begins talking tactics. "Oh, you've done this before? I didn't even know this was something people could do for money until today! I hope I delved the right spells for it." Millie stops, stroking her chin. "Oh, but I did bring some cheap clothes to stay dry. Annnnd..." She stops to open her purse. In a moment, Millie draws out a ziplock bag full full of food with a rattle. "I also packed trail mix!"
[[Gonna delve for the following spells, as the GM allows: Attack: Solid Oak Slammer. Source: Kapre, WR: 3, Activation Difficulty 6. An implement of rough wood Millie is carrying grows out, hardens, and lashes out at a nearby target. Millie must be carrying some rough wooden instrument to use this spell. Attack: Waterspout. Source: Bjart, Ranged, WR: 1, Activation Difficulty 6. Millie redirects a lance of water at a distant opponent. This spell requires at least a gallon of water. Emulate: Empathy for the Beast. Source: Cernunnos, Grants Read Emotions with Animal Empathy & Universal Empathy modifier (can only be used on animals, but at no penalty for targeting a different species). Activation Difficulty 2. ]]

A few men from the sanitation department appeared before to open the sewer grate. Most of the explanation had been given in advanced, and he nodded "As we explained, we saw a few odd psychic animals in it. Oh, and by the way, Psyche apparently has interest in this, so they're giving you each a couple psychic items. They want them back though after this."
He first walked over to Niko, and handed him a rune "Psyche said there was a violation of fetish storage protocol, so I'm afraid you'll have to make due with a rune. It should help you focus if you're about to change, limit life force corruption or something."
He then walked over to Millie, and handed her a few spheres "Glow runes. Good for lighting stuff up, or blinding folks, they say. I'd recommend saving them for actual battles though, or some other time."
The actual Psyche rep's already down there, she'll explain more.
The workers then managed to get the manhole undone. It... naturally reeked. He then gave them one more thing: a facemask to go over the mouth to purify the air "You'll probably feel ill if you take this off, but it should keep the noxious fumes away." Niko's was built to accomodate a muzzle, although she could fit it over her face in 'human' form as well.
[Millie is given use of three Glow Runes for the duration of the thread. Niko has use of a +2 Talent Rune for use of Transmogrification] [Additionally, Niko and Millie have the aspect 'Provided By the Sanitation Department' and have one free tag of it each, which can be tagged for mundane supplies. Fate points used here are separate from the main story.] [Edit: Oh, and Millie's delved spells are approved]

"Oh, how nice!" Millie exclaims, examining one globe between two fingers. She then pours the lot into her purse. "Have we met? I'm Millie, and these are... these are the other two! Hello!" The magus accepts a facemask from the workers with another eager thanks, immediately putting it on. "Dvo you ghed vis probblem offden? In de sewers?"
