"Don't worry." Xue said, "We should be in and out of here at least in like five minutes." She proceeded in the front with her light, following her daring plan for B&E at a... reporter's apartment. What kind of xenophobic reporter lives atop a multicultural restaurant? One with issues.

Kate probably should have. It would fit in quite well in the area, as it is quite dark in the area. As the group appraoches the main power junction, they can see...someone shambling towards it, looking around. The figure has its own light, as it moves with halting steps. And then they can see it, and it's not someone...it's someTHING.
The figure has pale blue skin, as it looks around with dark eyes. It is thin, abnormally so, skin drawn tight against it, wiry muscles underneath. Its fingers are too long, as it grasps tightly to the light in its hands. It purses its thin lips, hunched over. It looks around, and heads close to the power relay box.
And then the group gets a clearer look at it. It...has headphones on, bobbing its head to the music. It's dressed as a city maintenence technician, in a uniform tailored to its unique build. It yawns a bit, showing off sharp teeth, and connects a device to the power junction relay, checking it and making note of the readings.
She's...a Chiang Shih, apparently. A race of sentient, friendly, albeit isolated beings. And this one works here.

Xue watches quietly, and crouches, trying to keep herself from drawing more notice. Her thoughts race around and around. Then turning to the party, "Hold here... I'm going to knock her out. If she reports us, we're toast. If she doesn't and they investigate the missing power node... she's in trouble. If it looks like a set up for a burglary.. she's fine. And we'll have to get her music. We don't want her being caught with that - or she'll look incompetent and fired for that. So.. knocking her out.. is our best move."

Ngh. Just make it quick Xue. Time was wasting. She took a slow breath, and moved along the shadows. The blade slowly slide from its sheath. The weapon uncoiled to its length. Careful. Can't hurt her. Xue wrapped the ends in her hands, making sure it was taunt, the flat ends - the blunter ends... in a line. Her own body was armored. Stronger than pliant flesh. This... should be fast. With a practiced motion the ninja dashes forward. She brings forth her weapon, up and over in a certain speed. To choke out the witness, and leave her unconscious.

(ATTENTION EVERYONE! Xue gets 1 EXP from, well, sheer luck. It's actually in the DB rules. If you get all +, or all -, you get 1 EXP.)
Seconds later? The unconscious Chiang Shih is leaned up in a safe place, and the power node is clear. Xue did that perfectly. Batman could not have done it better. As for the power node...it's, well, a lot of switches, wires, and such. This part...help might be nice.
(Xue gains one situational aspect until the end of this adventure, with one tag. 20% cooler. Admin loses EXP for the terrible joke)

Xue gives a nod to the others. "Alright.. that's one step. Now to shut down the power node. Let's do some minor damage that can be repaired - just not on the spot." She makes sure as well to remove the woman's headphones and music - can't let her get caught with those. Xue returns to the power node, and hopefully with the help of Kate and Celia - bring about DAAARKNESS.

And so Xue proceeded to do just that. Which came down to... cutting all the wires. "Alright. That's part one. Let's get going." She says and looks to the others, proceeding on Phase 2 in Operation: Get the Bad Guy.
